Changes in your Outlook

Due to the growing attack of virus and spam over the emails, we have introduced a new security measure
in order to be invulnerable to its effects. You are requested to kindly do the following changes in
your Email programs (Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook etc.):

To change settings in Microsoft Outlook

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts.
  2. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, Select "View or change existing Email accounts" > Next
  3. Select mail.yourdomain.com (which would be mentioned in the box) and click on Change button
  4. Go to More Settings


  5. Select the "Advanced" tab. By default the "Incomintg server (POP)" port is set to 25.
    Check the box "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Then change the "Incoming server (POP)" port to 995.
  6. Under the same "advanced" tab, the Outgoing Server (SMTP), by default the value is 110.
    Check the box under the Outgoing Server (SMTP) "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". Change the value in the SMTP box to 465 if it does not happen automatically.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Finish.

To change settings in Outlook Express

  1. In Outlook Express, select Tools > Accounts.
  2. Under Internet Account Window: Select “Mail” Tab
  3. Select mail.yourdomain.com (which would be mentioned in the box) and click on “Properties” button.
  4. Go to the “Advanced” tab
  5. Under Server Port Numbers, Click on both the check box next to “This server required an encrypted connection (SSL)” of both SMTP and POP3
  6. Manually change the POP3 port number to 995 and SMTP port number to 465 as shown in the figure below .
  7. Click Apply
  8. Click Ok.
  9. Click Close
